 Beckett Park

8558 Beckett RoadBeckett Park is a 150-acre property located in the heart of the Union Centre business district,. The park is situated on the east and west sides of Beckett Road at the foot of Beckett Ridge. Its geography offers a beautiful natural setting.

West Chester Township acquired Beckett Park through the National Park Service as  trade for the former McGinnis Park

on Cox Road. Because there was already opportunity for park property on the Township's east side, Beckett Park was acquired to provide recreational facilities on the Township's west side.

Beckett Park features a world-class baseball facility, a restored timber-frame barn, walking trails, a small lake and woodlots. West Chester Township continues to develop the 150 acres with future plans for playgrounds, walking paths and an expanded lake.

The West Chester Baseball Complex has four tournament-quality baseball fields, a concession stand, dugouts, press box, and restroom facilities. It is located near great hotels and restaurants catering to traveling tournaments.

Beckett Park hosts several major youth baseball tournaments during the year, bringing some of the country's best young players to West Chester Township.
