The Chief of Police, Fire
Chief, Community Services Director, Community Development Director, and Finance Director all report to Mrs. Boyko who in turn reports
to the Township Trustees.
Mrs. Boyko enjoys the daily challenges her position provides and finds tremendous fulfillment in building consensus with internal and external stakeholders to achieve community goals and objectives and address community issues and interests. Mrs. Boyko has been employed by West Chester Township since 1992; first in the capacity of the Township Planner, then the Director of Planning and Zoning and in 1999 was promoted to Assistant Township Administrator. Mrs. Boyko is a native of Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Mary Washington College and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning, emphasis in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to calling West Chester her professional home, Mrs. Boyko was a policy management analyst with a state department in Virginia. The position exposed Mrs. Boyko to state statutes and taught her how to interpret legislation and resolve conflicts between policy/program and law. Among many personal interests of reading, running, hip-hop dancing, Mrs. Boyko is actively involved in numerous community organizations and programs. She is a member of the West Chester Rotary Club ; Past Board Member Butler County United Way ; Past Board Member of the Southeastern Butler County Chamber of Commerce (1998 - 2002) now known as the West Chester Chamber Alliance; Past Board Member of the BCRTA – Friends of Transit; Advisor to Over-the-Rhine community oriented Victory Over Violence Program; Volunteer and Advisory Board Member for The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty, and a volunteer for the RASKALS (Random Acts of Simple Kindness Affecting Local Seniors) program. Mrs. Boyko is one of two Township appointees to the Butler County Transportation Improvement District Board. She is also affiliated and holds membership with several professional organizations including, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) as well as the Ohio City/County Management Association (OCMA), the American Planning Association, the National Public Employees Labor Relations Association (NPELRA), the Ohio Public Employees Labor Relations Association (OPELRA), the Ohio Township Association, and the Center for Local Government. Mrs. Boyko has been recognized and has received numerous awards including, Who’s Who Among American Women, House Bill 174 – Special Recognition, SEBC Chamber of Commerce Leadership 21 Alumni, and the Soka Gakkai International Justice Award for demonstrating exceptional Community Leadership.
