A new Public Safety Campus will be completed in fall of 2008. This will include a new home for Fire Headquarters, Station 1, and the Communications and IT Department.

West Chester Township Public Safety oversees the operation of the Township's Police, Fire, and Information Technologies departments focusing on the implementation of procedures and practices that aid in the delivery of public safety services to businesses and residents.

Jim Detherage was appointed to the position of Public Safety Director following 30 years as the West Chester Fire Chief.
