US Navy Week Celebration

Join us Thursday, Sept. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the USS Cincinnati Peace Pavilion at VOA MetroPark for a free community event as part of Cincinnati Navy Week.
Explore the pavilion, meet Sailors and USS Cincinnati veterans, and learn more about the U.S. Navy through activities for all ages, including:
- Docent-led tours of the USS Cincinnati Peace Pavilion
- Navy Drill Team performance at 5:30 p.m.
- Parachute jumper with American and Navy flags at 6 p.m.
- Navy Band Northeast performing from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
- STEM education opportunities
- MidPointe Library’s Book Mobile
- Naval history and operations education and information displays
- Food trucks and refreshments available for purchase
- Special giveaways
Admission and parking are free. Visitors may enter the event area from Tylersville Road or Cox Road.
The USS Cincinnati Peace Pavilion is a 365-foot open-air representation of the USS Cincinnati (SSN-693), a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered submarine that served during the Cold War. The pavilion incorporates three artifacts from the submarine: its sail, rear rudder and reserve diesel generator known as the "Big Red Machine."
Cincinnati Navy Week, Sept. 13-20, is one of the stops that are part of the U.S. Navy's 2026 "Road Trip to 250,” recognizing the nation's 250th anniversary and providing opportunities for the public to learn more about the Navy, its personnel, and its mission.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Cincinnati Navy League, MetroParks of Butler County, VOA Museum, Travel Butler County, Midpointe Library, and the Submarine Cincinnati Memorial Association.
