The West Chester Amateur Radio Association (WCARA) will operate amateur radio equipment from 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 through 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. The event is free, and the public is invited any time during the 24-hour period to learn how shortwave radio works and observe our nation’s emergency communications capability.
The annual event has been sponsored by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) since 1933 as a test of our nation’s emergency broadcast system.
