Holiday trees accepted for recycling

Post Date:12/23/2019 8:30 AM

Holiday trees will be accepted for recycling through the end of January at two West Chester Township parks.

Live trees should be cleared of all decorations and should not be wrapped in plastic as this requires extra time when mulching. Garland, wreaths and artificial trees will not be accepted.

Tree recycling

Trees will be chipped and mulch will be recycled and re-purposed.

Tree drop-off locations are Keehner Park at 7411 Barret Road, near the tennis courts; and Beckett Park at 8650 Beckett Road, off Union Centre Boulevard, in the parking area just before the gates. Please look for signs designating the correct drop-off spot.

The recycling collection is for a limited time and is only for live holiday trees. Other yard debris is not accepted.

Recycling Centers

West Chester's three recycling centers accept recyclable items year-round including paper, plastics, glass, and cardboard. This includes some gift wrap and gift boxes. Please use the facilities respectfully and responsibly

Acceptable items should be placed in designated bins. No dumping of trash is permitted. Find these recycling centers at the locations listed above and at 7900 Cox Road.
