Six of Cincinnati’s top private companies headquartered in West Chester
Six of Greater Cincinnati’s top 150 private companies in 2018 have headquarters in West Chester Township according to an annual report by the Cincinnati Business Courier.
In its July 6 special issue, the Cincinnati Business Courier ranked the area’s top private companies based on 2017 revenue. West Chester companies making the list were:
- BGR – a packaging supply chain company located at 6392 Gano Rd.
- Planes Cos. – a relocation and transportation company located at 9823 Cincinnati Dayton Rd.
- Republic Wire Inc. – a manufacturer of bare copper wire located at 5525 Union Centre Blvd.
- RCF Group – a workplace solutions provider located at 6454 Centre Park Dr.
- Systecon, Inc. – a manufacturer of modular utility solutions located at 6121 Schumacher Park Dr.
- Totes-Isotoner Corporation – a designer, marketer and distributor of functional accessories located at 9655 International Blvd.
Combined, the report found these six companies had revenue totaling more than $899 million and employed about 2,100 people with a total footprint of approximately 1.5 million sq. ft. in West Chester.
Totes-Isotoner Corporation, coming in at No. 35 overall on the list of 150, reported revenue of between $306.68 and $344 million in 2017. It was also named one of the “healthiest places to work in the nation in 2018” by Interactive Health, according to the Courier report.
Of the top 150, Systecon Inc. was among a baker’s dozen of newcomers not ranked a year ago.
More than 3,500 companies choose to be a part of West Chester’s diverse local economy. In 2017, the community experienced $125.6 million in capital investment involving nearly 2.5 million square feet of commercial/industrial property. Nearly 1,500 new jobs were created in West Chester and more than 1,900 were retained as a result of expansion opportunities for existing businesses.
