West Chester homicide investigation
The West Chester Police Department continues to actively investigate the four homicides that occurred the night of Sunday, April 28, at 4562 Wyndtree Drive, Apartment 154.
The Butler County Coroner has confirmed the deaths of Hakiakat Singh Pannag, Parmjit Kaur, Shalinderjit Kaur, and Amarjit Kaur were caused by gunshot wounds and ruled homicides.
At this time in the investigation, West Chester Police Chief Joel Herzog believes the homicides are not classified as hate crimes, nor are they random shootings.
Investigators have, to date, followed countless leads and gathered considerable evidence aided by the community and those who knew the victims. Police urge anyone with information on the case to call the Police Tipline at (513) 759-7272; or use the online crime tip form.
It is critical to the investigation that details and evidence be carefully guarded in order to preserve the integrity of the case, the identification of a suspect and future prosecution.
“The victims and their families are on our minds every step of the way in this investigation,” said Chief Herzog. “This case will continue to be our top priority until those who committed this crime are held accountable.”
