Township Response to Cybersecurity Incident: How to Reach Us

Post Date:08/29/2025 9:31 AM

West Chester Township is continuing its response to a recent cybersecurity incident with the support of Federal authorities and cybersecurity experts. While our investigation is still underway, some Township technology systems remain offline as a precaution.

We want to reassure the community that Township services are still available, and our team is here to help. It is important to note that the 911 call center and other critical public safety functions were not affected by the incident and are still operational. However, other systems such as email are still offline.

While email is currently unavailable, residents, businesses, and partners can reach us in the following ways:

  • By Phone: Township departments can be reached during regular business hours. Staff will direct your call to the appropriate person or office as needed.

  • In Person: Our public offices remain open and ready to serve you.

  • Online Resources: The Township website continues to provide information and updates.

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we take deliberate steps to protect our technology systems and investigate the extent of the potential data breach. The Township will not bring technology systems back online until we are more confident that this can be done safely and securely.

Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
