Wiegand Scholarship Applications Now Open

Post Date:01/21/2026 1:33 PM

Established in 2024 at the Northern Cincinnati Foundation, the Aaron Wiegand Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of a remarkable leader, public servant, and community advocate. Wiegand left an indelible mark on West Chester Township, where he served as Community Development Director.

“Aaron had a great passion for building our community into something we could all be proud of,” said Lisa Brown, Administrator for West Chester Township. “His resilience and selflessness will be forever remembered by the many people he connected with in our community.”

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior at Lakota Local Schools who is a resident of West Chester Township. The recipient should exemplify Aaron's values: dedication to the community, a spirit of giving back, and a commitment to making a difference.

Applicants must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and demonstrate a passion for service and leadership. Qualified students will also be attending a 2- or 4-year college or trade school in the fall of 2026.

This scholarship will help Aaron's legacy live on in the community he loved, encouraging the next generation to embrace life with the same heart, humor, and determination that he did.
