Each year, West Chester is home to a wide-range of community events bringing friends and neighbors together to celebrate. Events are made possible by community sponsors.
West Chester Concert Series
The Keehner Park concerts are *7-9 p.m. on select Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day at the Keehner Park Amphitheatre. The free concerts welcome all guests to pack a picnic for the evening. Sorry, but alcohol is NOT permitted.

First Financial Bank presents THE TAKEOVER on The Square
Need to unwind after work? Grab some friends and head to The Square @ Union Centre on Thursday nights as First Financial Bank presents The Takeover on The Square. Great bands, beer and food are featured every week, and it’s a great place to kick the weekend off early. Free concerts offered Memorial Day through Labor Day. Schedule >

Live The Dream: Our Declaration of Unity - MLK Day
The communities of West Chester and Liberty townships annually come together to commemorate the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Friends and neighbors are invited to begin MLK Day on The Square @ Union Centre where a morning, half-mile march sets out toward Lakota West High School. The event includes a special program in the school auditorium and free luncheon in the cafeteria. Students who live in the Lakota school district are encouraged to enter the Live the Dream contest each fall leading up to the event. All are invited to join on the day of, and/or become part of the planning committee. Learn more >
Shamrock Shuffle - March 9, 2019
The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with this community breakfast, block party, 5K run/walk, 10K run, and kids' Leprechaun Lap. Register a team and bring a cheering squad to win prizes. This annual event takes place on The Square @ Union Centre and the race route runs through the Union Centre area and into the neighborhoods of Beckett Ridge. Register >

Touch A Truck - June 14, 2019
A wonderful summer Friday afternoon for families as West Chester and other agencies show off the trucks and equipment that serve the community on The Square @ Union Centre. Kids of all ages can see what it feels like to sit behind the wheel of these vehicles and learn about the people who operate them.

Food Truck Rally - August 9, 2019
The Union Centre Boulevard Merchant Association (UCBMA)
Dozens of trendy gourmet food trucks set up shop for the day on The Square @ Union Centre. The event, offered on a Friday in August, draws crowds of employees from local businesses during the day and families and neighbors at night. Beer and bands add atmosphere to the Food Truck Rally. The Great Pumpkin Fest - October 12, 2019
This free, family-friendly Halloween-themed event at Keehner Park is a seasonal fall-favorite in West Chester! Enjoy a puppet show, costume contest, games and activities, horse-and-wagon rides, a petting zoo and pony carousel, a "Not-So-Scary" haunted trail, and more. Community organizations are encouraged to host a booth; check back for booth applications in summer.
Pioneer Christmas - December 15, 2019
Celebrate the holidays just like the pioneers would have! The Cabin in the Clearing at Keehner Park is decorated for a traditional holiday celebration as Santa visits children from 1 to 4 p.m. Cozy up by the fire and taste real pioneer fare like rabbit stew, molasses cookies and spices cider.
