West Chester hosts prescription drug drop-off events several times during the year in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). These events are advertised to the public and listed on this website.
If immediate service is needed, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office has a Prescription Drug Drop Box located at their headquarters, 705 Hanover St, Hamilton OH 45011. It is available 24 hours a day, year round.

How will I be billed for EMS Services?
West Chester Township residents will not be responsible for out-of-pocket costs associated with EMS service provide by the West Chester Fire Department. Transport and material costs for your care will be billed to your private insurance provider, Non-residents will receive a bill for the remaining balance due. West Chester residents may receive a statement from third-party billing company, Change Healthcare, but this is not a bill and DOES NOT require payment.
Where can I get my infant care seat installed by a certified technician?
Currently, the West Chester Fire Department is unable to install car safety seats. Several fire departments in the area offer this program. Car Seat Fitting Locations

Is it legal to open burn in West Chester?
Very few open burn fires meet the requirements of the EPA. Open burning is permitted as a recreational fire (cooking, warmth, looks, etc.). These fires are permitted as long as the fire remains no larger than 2 ft. x 3 ft. high and CLEAN, SEASONED FIREWOOD is being used. You are NOT permitted to use this fire to burn yard waste or garbage. If the West Chester Fire Department receives a complaint on any type of open burn, you will be required to extinguish the fire. How do I apply for a position with the West Chester Fire Department?
Submit an Application for Employment and include a copy of all related Fire/EMS certifications. An applicant must have a minimum of Firefighter Level I and Basic EMT certification to be considered for part-time employment. Career employment applications will only be available during specific job posting periods for those positions. Minimum certification level for career employees is Firefighter Level II and Paramedic.
