West Chester Township benefits from a state-of-the-art 911 Emergency Communications Center that dispatches police, fire, and emergency medical personnel to support citizens and businesses in our community.

Our communications officers provide life-saving support to people experiencing traumatic or life-threatening events. They have advanced training to instruct callers in CPR and other patient care techniques while rescue teams are en route.

In addition, a Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) and translation service make it possible for communications officers to speak to our community's diverse population.

DISASTER & EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

In the event of a Township-wide disaster or emergency, communication is critical. West Chester uses multiple tools to reach citizens and businesses with public safety information, including social media, our website, email, and relationships with local reporters.

Telephone Notifications

West Chester partners with the Butler County Emergency Management Agency to provide mass notification to residents and businesses via automated phone calls in the event of an emergency.

West Chester residents and businesses who can sign up for notifications using the link below to receive these critical messages. (Note: All listed landlines are included automatically in this service, but other numbers must be submitted to the system voluntarily.)

Remember, you should always continue to monitor other sources for critical information during emergencies and not rely on any one communication channel
