All requests for public records will be responded to within a reasonable period of time, and all records will be reviewed for appropriate redactions prior to release, as permitted by law.
 
Please use the form below to formally request public records. Be as specific as possible to ensure you are provided with a timely, accurate response. You are not required to provide your name or contact information, but you must provide information about how you want to receive the requested records.

Police Department Records

The West Chester Police Department participates in electronic submission of traffic crash reports to the State of Ohio's Department of Public Safety (DPS). Traffic crash reports are available online. Please allow 72 hours for processing of the report. Private property reports are not sent to the State of Ohio DPS.

Private property crash reports and requests for all other police records may be made using the text link below or the button. 

The West Chester Police Department will provide photocopies of reports (up to 25 pages) free of charge. If the requested report is larger than 25 pages the fee for each photocopy is five cents beginning with the first photocopy. The charge for two-sided photocopies is 10 cents per sheet.
