Did you know? When it comes to speeding, stop signs are NOT effective at slowing down speeding vehicles.

To address speeding in neighborhoods, we must use the right mix of tools and strategies. West Chester Township works closely with law enforcement, Community Services, and Fire Department staff to evaluate concerns and take action.

Our primary goal is to enhance public safety while following Ohio laws and engineering best practices, ensuring consistent and effective traffic safety solutions.

Final Message for Residents

The Police Department regularly evaluates and responds to speeding complaints with tools like targeted enforcement, radar trailers and speed studies.

Residents can report persistent speeding concerns directly to the Police Department or via the Township's service request system.

We understand your concerns and are here to work with you. While some tools like speed humps or unwarranted stop signs aren't feasible or legal, there are multiple strategies we can pursue together to improve safety and calm traffic your neighborhood.
