Providing a fun, supportive environment for young entrepreneurs

Thank you for your interest in the West Chester Farmers Market Kid-preneur Booth, a program intended to provide young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase and sell their handmade or created items in a fun, supportive environment.

The following are guidelines for youth participation at the West Chester Market: 

  • The Township will provide a table and tent to be used at the Market. You will be responsible for providing a tablecloth, any displays or decorations, chairs, etc.
  • Youth aged 6 to 17 are permitted to apply. Youth must be supervised at all times by a parent or legal guardian. 
  • No food or drink items may be sold due to public health and safety regulations. 
  • Items must be handmade, with at least 75% of the work completed by the youth. No resell of pre-purchased items.
  • All participants must treat market staff, vendors, and customers with respect and fairness, or they may be asked to leave the market. 
  • All participants are expected to be able to explain their product, handle cash transactions, and interact with customers in a positive manner.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance, but we will do our best to notify you within two weeks regarding your application status. 

Cancellation Policy

If your application is accepted and you must cancel, we ask that you provide at minimum 48-hours' notice. This helps our team make plans to fill the space you would have had. Anyone who does not provide adequate notice may be barred from future participation in the Market.
