Senior Van Service

Volunteer drivers operate the township's local senior transportation service, available to West Chester residents 60 years of age or older. The service provides transportation to doctor's appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store, and for recreational and social gatherings. The service area for the Senior Van is inside West Chester Township. Trips outside the township may be approved for medical appointments on a case-by-case basis.

Clients

Service is available to West Chester residents age 60 and older. Adults under 60 may call to determine eligibility if they are permanently dependent on a wheelchair or legally blind (unable to hold a valid driver's license).

Senior Van services are available by appointment 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There is no service during the winter on days when the Lakota Local School District cancels or delays classes due to inclement weather, or during school holidays (except summer break).
